Guys have you heard about Cyberdecks?!?!
I just found out about them (I’m always late to the party, I already know, but I don’t like going out), but they actually sound really cool.
Apparently it’s a new Gen Z trend that the girlies are really into are doing right now. I read that the name seems to have come from the game Cyberpunk (I actually rated this game when it came out, suck on it Fallout fans).
As a fan of 80s nostalgia, cosplay, and the cyberpunk fashion and aesthetic, I think Cyberdecks sound absolutely brilliant, you can make your own tech-fashion, or personalised gadgets and gizmos, and get really creative with it.
So a cyberdeck is just a custom-built, portable computer, like the PC-builds the techbros and gamerboys no don’t bored you to death with for years (ok maybe im projecting here).
And it’s a cute little project you can do while learning and teaching yourself some new tech skills along the way, so that’s cool.
Gen Z never cease to impress me, honestly.
I am very much interested in making my own MP3 player or something so I can access my music again, I cant believe they took away that luxury.
Nobody should have to pay to listen to music they already own, or to listen to the radio on their own phone.
I paid over a hundred pound for a mobile and it doesn’t come with games and a radio? Complete rip off mate.
MY SOURCES OF INFORMATION
I really want to build my own device accessory now. As if I don’t have enough to do.
If there’s a screen, Ao3 shall be seen.
IDEAS:
A portable typewriter. With data storage, so I can create and keep my articles and stories.
A device purely for Ao3 usage, and nothing else.
My own Mp3 so I don’t have to access the internet to hear my music.
A portable radio. With a headphone/wireless headphone slot.
Solar powered/windup devices?
A proper nice watch so I don’t have to use my mobile to check the time.
A choker with a little screen and a button I can click to change the visual.
Can I not just have my own portable personal internet so I don’t have to use public wifi at all? I know mobile phones do this but they confuse me and I don’t want to pay extra for mobile data when we have internet at home. If I can pay for 1 internet at home that I can just take out with me to the shops thatd be ideal.
